Upon graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy. Blane excelled and found purpose in what the Navy had to offer him. Successfully navigating Naval Air Crew School and being attached Patrol Squadron 8 where he completed several deployments and dozens of overland aerial missions. Earning his Enlisted Aviation Warfare (EAWS) wings and multiple medals, ribbons, and citations.

After serving eight years, Blane was honorably discharged from the military in 2001.

He took the knowledge that the military taught and instilled in him and started working as a high-speed photographer and deep-water technical diver supporting the war-fighter in the testing and evaluating of military equipment for a larger military contractor on APG (Aberdeen Proving Grounds).

Being a third-generation military veteran is an honor and I am proud of my time serving my country and providing the blanket of freedom this country lives every day."

In 2014 Blane decided to take a risk and become a small business owner and has had a successful construction consulting firm ever since. In business, whenever he came to a roadblocks Blane either went over it, around it or through it. Blane's can-do attitude and get the job done personality is just the type of person you want representing you down in Washington D.C.

"Like many of you, I am frustrated with the current state of politics. Career politicians often fail to represent us effectively, engage in questionable practices, and prioritize their own interests over those of the working class. It’s time for meaningful change."

Blane has shown time and time again he gets it done. Whether it is in the military, construction or business he is a common-sense proven leader. Blane is again being called to serve his country and Maryland in the U.S. House of Representatives and is running in the 2024 U.S. Congressional race against career politician Andy Harris, who is seeking a seventh term in Congress.
